EMBLA is a company who mainly makes and plays dance performances for children and young people. Occasionally we make performances for adults such as the piece Traces of Rock Carvings and Position: - a site specific performance. Mostly we tour around Sweden and Norway with our performances but we have also played in Lithuania, Poland, Italy and The Faroes Islands.
We also teach and choreograph dance to children and young people in different projects. Our base is modern and creative dance including improvisation and contactimprovisation. EMBLA is supported by Swedish Arts Council.

Anna and Bronja started working in year 2000 and made their first piece for children Walking Table. In 2005 they made Sleeping? and 2009 came their most recent piece On our beach.
Their significance is a theatrical expression
together with dance- and movement-joy.
And they always combine a performance with
a dance workshop so that they meet their
young audience in two ways.
